Sustainable South Bronx work day at Roberto Clemente Community Garden

Here are some pictures from one of our last workdays in the fall, with one of our great partners, Sustainable South Bronx’s BEST team.  The BEST program is a ‘green job’ training program for people in the South Bronx.  We partner with Sustainable South Bronx (SSBX) in many of our Bronx gardens.  Our gardens provide learning spaces for them, and our gardens get all kinds of improvements.  These pictures are from a workday that included building a bioswale to help stop erosion and run-off.  The BEST team also helped to build a stone block path.  We were joined by our other frequent partners, Bronx Green-Up, the community gardening branch of the New York Botanical Garden.  Thanks to everyone for a great workday- on a beautiful fall day in the Bronx!
